PSU modding

I knew I wanted to do a little bit of work on the PSU and so set about changing over the molex connectors. The Cooler Master PSU I had came with white molex connectors, and so I wanted to switch those over to black - a fairly easy, albeit time consuming job.

I used a sewing needle to re-open the pins on the molex connectors, which is an essential step if you want to avoid your pins falling out of your molex plugs. I also had to re-sleeve all the cables after I'd pulled apart the braiding to change the plugs.

I used an acrylic cover to replace the top section of the PSU as well as a red 120mm LED fan that is nice and silent. The end result is a really nice addition to the Spiderman theme, and a great piece of eye candy.
